Zutotanium was a rare metal from which filament parts used in Starfleet starship warp drives were made. In 2267, the USS Enterprise was exploring the Galaxy Zekbran when a mysterious force damaged one of its engines and burned out the replacement parts needed to repair it. The crew was forced to beam down to a nearby planet to find a source of zutotanium so they could make the required parts and repair the engine. (TOS comic: "The Youth Trap")
